About

I build software that's meant to still be running in three years.

My work sits at the intersection of backend architecture, third-party integrations, and the less glamorous disciplines that make systems trustworthy — security, auditability, and upgrade paths that don't break production.

I think of good engineering as a series of small, defensible decisions: how data is modeled, what gets tracked versus what gets computed, where a system should be flexible and where it shouldn't. I'd rather ship something narrow and correct than broad and fragile.

Most of my recent work has involved IOT platforms, GRC (governance, risk & compliance) tooling, and integration-heavy systems — connecting third-party services cleanly, planning application upgrades without downtime, and making architectural calls that hold up when the stakes are compliance, not just uptime.

Domains
IOT Systems
Architecture and backend work for connected-device platforms — data ingestion, device state management, and integration with third-party hardware and monitoring services.
GRC Platforms
Governance, risk, and compliance tooling where correctness and auditability matter as much as functionality — designing systems that can withstand scrutiny, not just usage.
Integrations Specialist
Connecting and maintaining third-party service integrations across payment, communication, and data providers — handling failure modes, rate limits, and versioning gracefully.
Security & Audit
Treating security and audit trail design as first-class architectural concerns — access control, data separation, and traceability built in from the schema up.
Application Upgrades & Planning
Planning and executing version upgrades and architectural migrations on live systems — sequencing changes to minimize risk and downtime.
